One of our clients recently asked us about globally adding donor giving levels to the Basic Card. We thought the information might be useful to all our clients.
Start in Reports --> Financial Reports --> Donor Reports by Giving Level
Set up the report to export a particular giving level.
Click <Run>, to create the report. Then choose Export, and select the ASCII Comma Delimited CSV file format.
Click <OK>.
The file will now be saved where designated.
Open the file on your desktop. The Giving Levels are indicated automatically in Column AG with a title “Display.” (For presentation purposes, most other columns are hidden).
Back to Sage Fundraising 50. In Administration --> Table Maintenance, set up a New Attribute called “Donor Levels.” Type is Single Value from Table. Enter the table entries:
Go back to Administration --> Set-up --> System Options, and choose the Donor Levels attribute to appear on the Basic Card.
Next go to Administration --> Import Wizard.
In Step 1, point to your csv exported file. In Step 2, choose New, indicate the file has a header row, and choose to Update Existing Card – Caddy Items and uncheck the box to Create Matching Pledges.
Click <OK>, then drag Constituent ID to the ID Field, and Display to the Donor Level Field on the Basic Card.
Choose <Validate>, then Import.
